Product Review Guidelines
For me, an RV isn’t just a way to travel from one spot to the next; it’s my home on wheels, a cozy retreat, and a safe place I can count on.
It’s where I find comfort after a long day and a place I’m always eager to return to, no matter where I’ve been.
At RV Expertly, we want to help you turn your RV into a genuine home as well. Creating that homey feel doesn’t happen all at once, though; it comes together bit by bit.
Every little detail counts, from essential items like the fridge to small touches, like a well-chosen sofa cover.
We get it—every piece adds something special, which is why we focus on finding the absolute best options for everything in your RV, even the smallest details, like the TV antenna.
To make sure every recommendation in our guides stands up to what an RV home should be, we test each item carefully and thoroughly.
Our Rules
We apply these principles in each of our reviews to maintain their integrity.
✅ Ensure that Our Recommendations Are Reliable
I know that every item inside the RV needs to work perfectly. If something breaks, I’m often far from any place where I can easily find a replacement.
That’s why I make sure to review each product carefully, focusing first on how well it can handle rough conditions. I start by reading user reviews, which give me real insights into how these items perform in different situations.
Not everyone has extra money to spend or wants to live in luxury, and I understand that completely. That’s why in my product reviews, I make sure to include options at various price points. This way, there’s something for everyone, no matter what your budget is.
✅ Gather And Examine All the User Reviews
One of the best ways to know if a product is truly reliable is by reading what other users say about it. Sure, we might have a great experience with something, but that doesn’t guarantee everyone else will.
On the flip side, if we end up with a defective item, it could just be bad luck while others have had no issues at all. So, to get a clear and honest picture of any product, it’s important to consider a wide range of opinions.
When we recommend something, we don’t just rely on our personal experience. We dig deep to find out what others are saying.
We check reviews on Amazon, look at feedback on the brand’s official website, read through discussions on Reddit, and even ask people we meet at campgrounds to get a broader view.
By gathering all these insights, we can share recommendations that are fair, accurate, and helpful.
✅ Hidden Catches
Some brands may look great at first, but they often have hidden catches that aren’t easy to spot.
Having spent many years living in RVs full-time, I’ve learned to recognize these traps. Like many RVers, I’ve been caught off guard by things like tricky fine print, warranty limits, and other surprises.
I keep a close eye on these issues and make it a point to share them with you whenever I find something worth mentioning.
Things We Avoid
These are practices we firmly oppose and you will NEVER find on RV Expertly.
❌ Only Suggesting High-Priced Products
It’s not actually wrong because you usually get what you pay for. Better products often cost more, so if we only wanted to show you the best options, we would have to stick to expensive items.
However, we want to make sure every RVer can find what they need, so we aim to include products at all different price levels.
❌ Fake Reviews
If a brand tries to pay us to put their product at the top of our review, we think it is wrong.
We don’t want anything to affect our honest opinions, so we don’t accept sponsorships and never will.
